Kibbutzim, just like families and individuals, are not immune to the weathering of time. “Progress” is devouring them too, and they, in particular, must adapt to the changes. A healthy kibbutz society, like each individual in it, must repeatedly ask not only what it wants for itself, but also what it is ready to contribute to others. Without this, the kibbutz society will have no raison d’être.
