Once again the vicious cycle has begun: once again we are filled with fear, and consequently we once again elect those leaders who generated this atmosphere of fear; once again we will see that there is nobody to talk to – and therefore we will elect those same leaders who refused to talk in the past, and who will make sure that there will be nobody to talk to in the future either. Paradoxically we follow those same failed leaders who made our situation worse, and we sink into the old and familiar fear – that makes us miss every opportunity for negotiations and compromise over and over again.
These same leaders have brought many calamities down upon us: creating a situation in which radical entities such as the Hamas and Hizobollah take control over the front; tremendous funds are wasted on settlements that we will have to evacuate in the future – and the plague of poverty spreads.
