A State in Formation

The State of Israel is in the process of being formed. The two institutions upon which it is based - Zionism and democracy - must be strengthened, so that the State can continue to exist in the future. Enemies on the right and on the left are besieged by this sound concept: the "post-Zionists" negate the continuing Zionist foundations of the State and focus on democracy; in contrast, the rightist extremists trrample democracy in the name of Zionism, with the support of religious decrees.
